Chico is one of our most basic and easy-to-use designs while being highly adaptable to your changing needs. Built from just two Tatami mats, two futon mattresses, and two cushion sets, Chico changes its shape easily. There are no hinges; in fact, its pieces fit together without any type of connecting parts. This means you can effortlessly convert your Chico between a sectional, a smaller sofa, and a twin bed! This simple yet effective sofa is great for throwing parties, relaxing, and hosting guests.
Note that all of our futon products are handmade, so you might notice small differences in size and weight.

Tatami:
All tatami mats must be kept dry in order to avoid any mold/mildew. We recommend that your tatami is only wiped with a slightly damp cloth and no harsh cleaning solutions or vacuum along the weave of the tatami. Going against the weave direction may damage the tatami or cause the dirt to get pushed into it. While using vacuum cleaning, make sure to select the weakest setting.
Tatami mats are sensitive to moisture, make sure there is some cirkulation either above or underneath. We recommend to clean and air out the tatami once in a while. Dry and sunny days are best for airing the tatami mats.
Fabric:
Our mixed fabric is made from 80 % cotton and 20 % polyester. For stain removal, use a damp and colorless cloth with a small amount of clear dish soap. Gently rub the stain, then wipe with a dry cloth or paper towel to remove the moisture.
